Guidelines for Reporting Volunteer Hours
Thank you for taking the time to record the hours spent doing the great things you do to help the Gallery run smoothly.

Please use this as a guide for how to categorize your activity.

Maintenance: includes cleaning, painting, repairing and also includes setting up electronics etc.

Operations: includes sitting (which you do not have to record) but it also includes things like schedule-making, or purchasing supplies ... anything to keep things running.

PR/Communications: includes print and posters to web and socials

Exhibition Management: a fancy word for "hanging" but it also includes things like ordering signage AND work to create online shows.

Money Management: includes anything to do with transactions or inventory management from tax reports to going to the post-office to mail checks.

Community Outreach: includes special events like Mermaid Fests or Art Talks as well as party prep and hosting.

Meetings: sort of obvious! But documentation of a general meeting or creating a meeting agenda would be catalogued here. A meeting about a specific event or issue would be logged as time spent on the event (such as Mermaid Fests).
