Inspirations from Land and Sea
Eastport Gallery Members, Helena Bosse and Barbara Moskol, will have their works on display in a show titled “Inspirations from Land and Sea” from Sunday, July 3 through Saturday, July 16. Helena’s paintings reflecting her love of flowers and local landscapes are a perfect complement to Barbara’s works in clay that showcase the colors of the ever-changing sea and often incorporate Eastport sea glass into the glazing process.
Helena finds inspiration “every day, everywhere I look! That’s the wonderful part about living in Maine. In recent years I’ve become more in tune with the different light of the day and how it affects the overall feel in the composition. It’s been a wonderful challenge to try to recreate these special times of the day.”
Barbara likes to make objects that are both beautiful and useful. She says, “My high fire pottery is entirely food safe as well as microwave safe and every piece is unique.”
