Paint ON Eastport: A Community-Created Mural
For years Eastport Gallery has hosted Paint Eastport Day to celebrate the charm of Eastport through art.
This year we are celebrating Paint Eastport Day with a twist. We are hoping that the whole community will get involved to Paint ON Eastport.
Eastport Gallery will create an extra large canvas with a map of Eastport on it. Kids, families and art aficionados will be invited to add their bit of flair throughout the day on Saturday, September 2, 10am to 5pm, and maybe later! Together we will create a community mural that depicts the spirit and artfulness of Eastport. Paint and brushes will be supplied by Eastport Gallery, with support from Eastport Arts Center.
After its completion the mural will be displayed in various locations throughout the city. The project is being led by Muralist and Eastport Gallery member, Alison Ross.
